This hotel is in a good location and rooms were good value for the price. Small but nice style. Parking next to hotel

Liked the interior design - even though room was small, it was artfully decorated. Breakfasts were nice. Location is really great, able to walk everywhere and right in the heart of shopping and restaurants.

Only problem we had was finding it and lack of any english speaking person to provide directions when we drove into Bordeaux. Finally insisted that the staff find someone to guide us and they did so (maybe pulled someone off the sidewalk???).

Stayed here for the Bordeaux Wine Festival and it was perfectly located for us to enjoy the city and the fete, but even our sat nav had problems finding the hotel and after reading previous posts ,I had made a hard copy with all info I could find to make it easy but it still wasn't! We were pleasantly surprised with our ensuite room, including the unexpected hairdryer, and the air conditioning was great. We had already decided not to include breakfast as it was too expensive(12 euros each) and as we thought, there were plenty of cafes nearby at less than half the price. However my biggest grip was the car parking fee. The overnight fee as advertised on the website is 12 euros... the garage is privately owned and am unsure if it is by the hotel ...but the day fee is equally expensive and being booked in for 2 nights(but 2 full days also) for the festival our car parking became very expensive ..almost 50 euros which we hadn't reckoned on. This took us into another price bracket which may have been better spent on a higher grade hotel with free parking. I would recommend the city of Bordeaux, the Fete de Vin but would encourage the Hotel to give fuller info on the parking and to try to explain the access with a better map in more than one language.

We booked for a two night stay in July 2010.
They charged us 150 euros a night which was expensive but the location was central and we accepted.
When we woke up there was no hot water in the shower.
We informed the front desk and they told us it would be sorted out shortly. After a few hours and still no hot water their reply was "No hot water till Monday" (it was Saturday morning)
We decided to check out and they didnt even have the courtesy to apologise or even offer a small discount to the already inflated rate!!!
They were even shocked we decided to leave!
Who do they think they are? The Ritz?
BE CAREFUL !!!!! THEY ARE FULL OF THEMSELVES, ARROGANT AND VERY VERY RUDE!!!!!
