“Good hotel close to train station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I chose this hotel as I flew into Bordeaux in the evening, and had to take the train the next morning. This hotel was right across from the train station and was a good choice. Small , clean and comfortable rooms, free wifi, with friendly and efficient staff. Perfect for an overnight stay. Very easy to walk across the street to the train station.

“Small rooms but great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

This hotel is well located near the train station. It's a beautiful, completely restored hotel that is kept immaculately clean. Yes, the rooms are small as many travelers have stated, but we had four pieces of luggage (large -- we were traveling for several weeks through France) plus two laptops and we still fit comfortably. We couldn't close the bathroom door because our luggage prevented it from closing, but other than that we slept great. Our room was quiet, clean and had updated appliances. We'd stay here again. The staff even gave us a bottle of wine so that we'd get to sample the wine of the region.

“Nice hotel close to the train station”

We stayed in this hotel on our honeymoon in October 2011.

I must admit, the ability to get in on a late train, cross the street to your hotel and collapse in bed wins this hotel points from me. The rooms were quite nice and modern, with comfortable beds. We stayed in a corner room, and though the room was small, the way it was laid out made it feel very comfortable. Bathrooms are small, but modern as well (though we did soak the bathroom when we showered). It's a very nice hotel for a very good price.

As for location - you're right across the street from the train station and very close to the tram to take you to the center of town. The neighbourhood that the hotel is in doesn't seem so good and I wouldn't recommend walking to the center of town - not that it's far - we did it once and didn't walk it again because you have to walk through a less desirable area of town. The tram is inexpensive and a nice way to travel, so I would definitely recommend it. There are a few restaurants right across the street from the train station, but we didn't have good luck with them (food wasn't great).

If you want to stay in the center of Bordeaux, don't stay here, but if you want something nice, inexpensive, and near the tram and the train, this is the hotel for you!

We really enjoyed our stay here!

“Close to the train station”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

By the train station which is good when you arrive but a bit far from the center by foot (although there is a direct tramway nearby) and not that great a place to hang out or to go to the restaurant. Rooms are a bit small but functional and clean looks pretty new, TV. Free newspapers available.
