“clean room, but the neighborhood is not charming”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2009

I stayed in this hotel by myself for 2 nights in octorber 2008.

I think this hotel provides modern amenities and environment.
but i found it a little far from the center of the city, and too close to the cemetery...the neighborhood is not charming at all, that i found it a little depressing.
but the breakfast was good, and the staff was helpful.
it was very business type of place. I felt like i was the only single traveler in the hotel. All other people were there for some type of business seminar or something... I felt a little out of place. haha.

it is a modern building, so the room was clean, but since it is a modern (or i should say business type of )building, it does not have any Bordeaux kind of feeling.

If I go to Bordeaux next time, i will try somewhere a little closer to the center of the city, unless i go there for business.

“Great location but staff still grumpy!!”

71 euros [cheaper on weekends – 58 euros]. Large, modern clean room. Safe car parking free at back of hotel. About 10 minutes walk into the city. Free internet. Coffee/drinks machine. Miserable, unhelpful hotel staff! But best deal for Bordeaux if you require car parking. Otherwise, most of the other hotels are in the centre and offer expensive car parking deals eg 12 euros from 7pm – 7am and then 2 euros per hour from 7am to 7pm.
Buffet breakfast about 7 euros.

“Very Satisfied”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2007

Nice hotel in centre of Bordeaux. Rooms were very clean and quite spacious. In great location, about 10 mins walk from the centre of town. Would definitely recommend as is great value for money!

“Perfect for a budget holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 March 2006

This hotel is perfect for someone trying to see Bordeaux on a budget. The rooms are basic with no frills but are extremely clean and the beds are comfortable. Some of the staff were a little reserved but in general we found them very helpful. There are no real facilities in the hotel but the city centre is only a ten minute walk away so it was never an issue. No complaints!

“Perfect, bar the staff!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2005

A good hotel for a short stay before moving on, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was, given the website had poor pictures and forced me to take a smoking room (if you use their online booking).
It turned out to be a decent quiet hotel with secure parking in back, and initially friendly staff. It's cheap and cheerful, witha good size ensuite double room at a budget price (and it was airy enough that previous smokers hadn't left a smoky smell). Breakfast was simple fare (7 euros extra!), but what ruined it for me was the offensive front staff as we were leaving the following morning. He clearly disliked europeans who couldn't speak French, was rude, unhelpful, and refused to open the gat eto the secure parking for us to leave until I went back in and asked him again. If they let this slob go, It would be a real find - a bargain at the price. Probably worth a try as I can't imagine anywhere keeping staff that poor on (I hope he's not management)
