This hotel is undoubtedly well priced as a simple place to sleep and has the advantage for travellers by car of free and secure parking. It is new(ish) and the young receptionists are helpful and responsive. It is out of the centre but only a short walk from a tram stop - 1.4 euros per ride. However, the hotel is built within an old commercail building with barren small courtyards surrounded by rooms. Noise travels easily ( we could not sleep one night because of boisterous neighbours) and the air quality is poor. Strangely the quite adequate galley kitchen is provided with only one small stool, and the lighting in the room is too poor for comfortable reading. The hotel also has an inadequate reception area. There are no shops in the vicinity and so stocking up to make use of the kitchen is quite a trek. Bordeaux city centre is, however, well worth visiting and as a base for the coast and nearby vineyards.

Friendly & helpful staff at reception. Room clean. So handy being just 30 seconds from the tram stop - can be in the middle of town within 10 minutes from closing your bedroom door. Parking very easy, and free!

Please make sure you yake the tram to Grand Parc much too far to walk from the centre

As other reviews have mentioned the hotel is located just outside the city centre but is easily accessible due the close proximity of the nearby tram stop (Grand Parc) literally 2mins walk from the hotel. When arriving @ the hotel I based the location of hotel on directions I downloaded from google maps (please don't make the same mistake!!) A two min walk from tram stop to hotel took close to 30mins! Thank you google maps!

When you step off the tram head in the direction of the tram line a few metres, then turn right, cross a quiet road & you will see a large entrance gate; the hotel complex is located about half way up the car park.

Directions aside, I found the hotel to be quiet, modern & well apointed. The reception staff were very friendly & helpul throughout. Our room had a small kitchenette & there is a supermarket nearby. The city centre is only 5 tram stops away & the journey takes under 10mins. The trams run till at least 01.00hrs.

We loved Bordeaux & will definitely return one day. There's lots to see & there are many cafes, pubs & restaurants.
