This hotel is not like other suite hotels we have experienced on this trip - it was not staffed at the weekend, and yet having booked to arrive on Sunday they had not provided any instruction on how to get in, there was no answer on reception at the locked gate intercom, and the emergency contact number went straight to answer phone.

Seems they expect you to be able to get access by yourself, but don't mention this until you have arrived - waiting on a refund!!!

Stayed in a T3 appartment prior to a day in Bordeaux whilst heading to the South West.

My Suite Village is located just to the East of St Jean D'Illac to the west of Bordeaux.

The "village" is secure - meaning that entry is through a locked gate. Once you have checked in, you get a key tag, but prior to check in, you use an intercom with reception. Not sure what went wrong when we arrived, but no-one was answering the intercom, and it took about 10 minutes to gain entry.....not ideal after a 6 hour drive with two fractious kids!!!

Reception staff were friendly and helpful - and reception was clean. Got given key to our villa, and found it to be spacious, and fairly clean, although the floors could have used a good mop.

The grounds were OK - could have done with some tidying, and the pool was great - clean, and well secured against wandering toddlers - which was comforting.

Overall, an OK place to stay. Wouldn't want to stay more than a couple of nights. It seems the place is used by polish building contractors as "digs", and we were concerned when the lads in the villa opposite us were lugging crates of beer in, but they were as quiet as mice, and friendly as well. So no probs.
