Unofrtunately our stay at this hotel was no succes. The facilitites were very modest and there was no hot shower. When we complained about that we were offered two other rooms also without a hot shower. The hotelier became very rude and started shouting at us. Finally we left because we did not wanted to be treated that way. They charged us the full amount. Never go there!

Can’t get better than this location, Right on the short walking path from train station to the old town. The hotel is clean and compact – not much walking space with the big double bed in the room. I had a room facing the street with double bed and private bathroom. Those who are sensitive to street noises should ask for a room away from the street. Lots of eating places and small grocery stores in 1 block distance. 5 minute walk to train station. Strasbourg is a walk-able city and you can walk to everything a tourist need to see from this hotel. For those who prefers taking the tram, the tram stop is 1 short block away. Strasbourg has lots of cobbled stone streets. This hotel's proximity to the train station saved me the annoyance of dragging luggage on cobbled stone roads looking for hotel. I stayed here in May 2011.

Stayed one night on recommendation of TA reviews. Yes, a great location near the train station. Very clean and modest accommodations. Great breakfast, but the worst bed I slept in on this trip. A hard foam mattress on a wooden slab, low to the floor. Ugh. Try the ETAP nearby instead.

Location, location, location!!!!
The Victoria is a mere 200 meters from Strasbourg train station, about a 3 minute walk dragging a suitcase.
When you leave the park in front of the station you see Hotel Ibis on the left and Hotel Vendome on the right. Walk down the street in between them for about 200 meters and the Victoria is on the right.
Clean and very comfortable. All staff spoke English quite well and went out of their way to be helpful. Although not air conditioned. there was a pedestal fan in the room which made life quite good.
I would stay there again.
