Last weekend was my fourth visit to the Beaucour. I had stayed there years ago, then tried some other hotels in Strasbourg and now I was gladly back. The location in the "christmas capitol of Europe", it certainly fulfills, - the place is full of character and rustic charm. Last time I gave it three stars and it still is in this range, but has lost a bit of comfort: the breakfast is now offered in different rooms: drinks in one and food in the other, which means, that you've got to "tour" the place, balancin cups and plates. The management has chosen this to cramp more tables into the breakfast room - it now is quite cramped.

Stayed 3 nights for business. The hotel is OK - and the location is excellent for visiting the city. Would most likely go back. The breakfast is fine (for the 8€ we paid).

If ever we were to return to Strasbourg, we'd definitely stay here again! This hotel is right across the bridge from the Grande Ile! You can get anywhere on the island in less than 30 minutes!

Pros: staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, gave great cafe/restaurant recommendations, no extra pet fee, parking right across the street, lift, candy at front desk, A/C in room

Cons: house keeping came in to straighten the room even though we had the "Do not Disturb" sign up (our dog was in the room), hotel corridor smelled of mildew

I was originally concerned by other reviews that talked about only whirlpool tubs in the rooms. Our double room had a whirlpool tub that was also a shower w/ a glass half-wall (typical European "curtain"). Glad we chanced it! Our view of the exterior corridor overflowing with flowers was beautiful! Staff was always smiling and gave us a better rate over the phone! We opted out of breakfast at the hotel due to the higher cost and went for the total French cafe experience instead.

Overall: great hotel, great location!

Hotel is nice, rooms have great bathrooms, and are comfortable. Extremely central. However expensive, for Strasbourg, as there is no special amenity.
