We went to Strasbourg with another couple. Our rooms were facing Notre Dame Cathedral. Incredible view of the church and square. Our experience was all positive except for the church bells which rang upon the hour all night. If I stayed there again, I'd pack some really good earplugs!

The location of this hotel is really outstanding -- in the middle of the old town, right in front of the Cathedral. For location this place should get a five-star rating.

Our room faced the courtyard, and we could see the Cathedral from our window (hard not to, in this location!). The room was small but okay, the bed not the most comfortable but okay, the bathroom was roomy and clean, and the hotel staff was friendly and courteous.

Beware -- it may look like breakfast is in included in the room price, but it isn't. Price is €13 per person. The hotel wi-fi on the other hand is free.

Finally, even if you love the sound of church bells, beware that the hotel is so close to the cathedral that you will be banged awake at 7am with no chance of going back to sleep. =)

Firstly the location cannot be beaten, right on the cathedrale square opposite the cathedral, loads of restaurants around and right in the middle of the city.
Rooms not big, but beds are big and comfortable, all staff friendly and helpful, good value for money and would definately stay there again.

It is just right opposite the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-Strasbourg, with many restaurant and beer garden below the hotel. The lady receptionist was quite helpful, and I really appreciate the guy who helped me carry my luggage up the spiral stair before reaching the lift, otherwise I would be totally confused looking for the lift. Internet is totally free and just get the password from the reception.

The attic room was a bit small for a double bed but it was expected. The small windows allow wind and fresh air in but not rain when I arrived in the thunderstorm. I didn't see any tea/coffee set and kettle. There was no iron or iron board too, not so convenience for business or conference travellers. The TV was broken and no reception but they fixed it within a day. The bathroom may not be suitable for anyone taller than me ( 5 feet 10) because there are piles above in the attic. The design of the room interacts with the old piles nicely, which I was impressed. The breakfast was very simple. I didn't see any English breakfast (!!) but the boiled eggs and toasts worked for me.

I was going to catch an early flight about 6am and the guy receptionist was very helpful to book a taxi for me the night before. However it costs a little bit like 40 EURO to the Aéroport de Strasbourg, Entzheim. The taxi driver was very friendly and helpful to carry my luggage up and down, so I didn't mind to tip him.
