Very helpful staff - Mei came outside and directed our illegally parked car around to back side of hotel for unloading of bags. Do not set GPS for Rue Maroquin, street which hotel faces. Set it for Rue de Vieil Hopital which runs on back side of hotel. You have to drive the car up two steps to get into loading zone. Secure car park ( 17 Euros) is located short walk from hotel. Excellent location very close to cathedral. Very small beautifully furnished room. Very small bathroom Elevator was out of service - steep curving stairs were not easy to navigate with heavy suitcases. Room very clean - comfortable bed with firm pillows. Lots of interesting shops close by. Breakfast room was quite formal. Self service breakfast of fresh pastries, meats, cheeses and fruit. Selection of teas and juices. The hotel stay was quite pleasant, but the difficulty of finding it made us wish we had reserved something easier to get to by car.

A small pleasant hotel very near the Cathedral. Rooms are small (some will be undergoing renovation during 2012). Staff is very good (Corinne and Mei thank you!). Free internet in the rooms, but it is a bit slow and don't use it if you want to upload heavy files. Expressbreakfast served in the room for around 4 euros ( a godd choice). Will stay there again!

Business trip to France and I stayed 1 night at Hotel Cardinal de Rohan. I had a superior DUS for 110,00 euro (really not too cheap, but I arrived at 18,00 without reservation, during the peak season due to the famous local Christams market) Room anyway was wide, nice, clean and with a view on the famous Cathedral). The most useful thing of this Hotel in fact is the position: downtown, 50 mt from the famous Strasbourg Cathedral and many good restaurants.

The standard rooms are a bit small, but more than adequate for a solo traveler. For a couple, I recommend upgrading to a deluxe room.

The desk staff are extremely helpful and speak excellent English (important to me since I don't speak french). They gave great recommendations for dinner and helped me arrange a taxi to the airport in the wee hours of the morning.

Best of all, the hotel is close to all the major attractions. Practically across the street from the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Strasbourg and right around the corner from the batorama (boat tour) and several museums. Lots of good restaurants right down the street.
