Because of the location right opposite the main railway station, it was easy to find the hotel when he drove into the city late at night. Very nice people in the reception, got a fine room with good beds and a spotlessly clean bathroom. No noise at night. But trying to save a few euros, we were stupid enough to park in a back street behind the hotel instead of using the nearby multistorey garage. In the dark we didn't see the sign that this was a market street and that cars would be tied away in the early morning. The people in the hotel reception understood our problem and were exceedingly helpful in phoning around to find out where our car had been impounded and where we would have to go first (quite another place) to fight our way through the French police bureaucracy in order to get our car released. Took us the better part of a day plus quite a few euros to get on the road again. A lesson learned! But we would absolutely come back to this hotel again, and Strasbourg is certainly a lovely city.

I chose this hotel due to its location right across from the railroad station. In spite of the fact that the city tourist office at the station cliamed they had never heard of it, it is across and to the right as you come out of the station.

I only expected a marginally acceptable hotel at the price I was paying, but was very surprised to find a very clean, comfortable place. Sure the room was small, but the maid saw me going into my room and rushed over to make sure I had the latest TV magazines, and the manager on duty at the reception couldn't have been nicer.

The historic part of Strasbourg is within walking distance of the hotel, and if you are only there a short time and taking the train, this hotel fits the bill. Not luxurious, but better than expected for the price.

Booked this hotel becos of the location, just opposite Strasbourg train station. It was not a pretty sight as I looked out of my room due to construction works at the train station in February 2006. Hope they would have been completed by now.

Paid 72 Euros a nite. Room was alright. As hotel is part of the Kyriad chain in France, there was tea/coffee making facilities in the room which came in handy in the cold winter.

Did not enjoy the breakfast which cost 9 euros. Had asked for english breakfast/ceylon/normal red or black tea but they had only earl grey which was not to my liking. So I skipped breakfast on the 2nd morning.

Noticed there were also few other hotels opposite the train station. Would like to try these other hotels if I ever visit Strasbourg again.

We loved this hotel! The staff consistently went out of their way to make our trip comfortable and a success. - We were well taken care of with tourist tips from the front desk and a lovely petit dejeuner (which may or may not be included in the price, depending where you book). The rooms are small, but ample (who stays in the room?) and warm and comfortable. The staff works very hard with English, but they are super-appreciative and helpful if you want to try out your high school French. - The neighborhood was safe for walking in the evenings and so very close to the Rue Monge metro stop. Great location for longer jaunts to the Louvre and shorter ones to Notre Dame or Pompidou.
