We had a really nice stay in Strasboug at the Regent, the hotel being a block outside the main city river perimeter and a ten minute walk to the cathedral and main square. A sunrise walk garner's some really great pictures sans the crowds. The hotel is in an older building and the first night the ac didn't work but it was fixed-reset the next morning. Our room had a nice platform King bed and sofa sitting area, and bath was adequate and everything tastefully decorated and clean. Staff was helpful. Lovely full continental breakfast with fresh everything each morning, breads, eggs, cheeses,meats, chocolate croissants, fruit.. everything you would expect from a French dining experience... sets the palate for the day, would stay there again in a hearbeat.

we arrived mid afternoon, they did not know if the room was ready... we had to wait after over 4 hours trip. he did not have any explanation about hotel service, breakfast hours... we paid m 255 for a very small room and one sink for 2 persons. it is not the best location and poor service.

From the Starsbourg station, it seems a quite far away to go there by foot.
Near hotel, you can take trams and busses :-)
It's not at the center but it takes 15-20 mins walk to the Cathedral.
If you're a quite old, it takes 20-30 mins.
Reception is friendly.

Atmosphere is fine. Not luxuary, but cozy.
Room : Enough space and good stuff for bathroom.
Room is enough warm (it was very nice! Ín France it is very important !)
Clean :-))) !! Nice view !
TV : Enough programs not only French
but also ARD, ZDF, Arte(of course), 2 Arabish, 1 Chinese, 2 Italians etc.
i, however, did not watch TV so much...
Food : We did not eat anything at this hotel... no evaluation.
Breakfast costs EUR 20/person... we thought we could eat enough good at a cafe.

i would have stayed more there ;-)

Our stay was too short..only one night. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room pleasant and clean. Breakfast good with several options. Would reccommend highly.
