Some other travellers didin't like this Novotel. Indeed, the rooms, corridors are not as nice as other Novotels, such as in Munich, Berlim, Santiago. It looks like the Novotel in Cologne. The walls have rough paint reminding an Ibis. Nevertheless, the bathoroom is clean as well as the room. The onnly complain I had about the rooms is that they use plastic disposable cups, but they do not replace them when cleaning the room! I think I have to throw they away so they can put new ones in the bathroom....
The staff at the front desk was very nice. Marie and another lady were very nice, explained evertyhing about the hotel and location of main tourist sites. When I thought my heater was not working (but it was), the lady from the front desk promptly went to my room, explained how to regulate it and offered me a bathrobe.
The hotel is conveniently located very close to the Old Town and in the same building of a shopping Mall. This was very convenient. Cars are parked in the parking lot of Mall. Around 20 Euros for approximately 40 hours. Marie kindly responded to my email before we went to the hotel explaining that we should look for parking 2 (P2, Sebastopol). With a GPS this was very easy, no mistakes.
Another good thing is that the hotel offered free wi-fi in the lobby and rooms, which is a very good thing compared to all other Novotels I've stayed that all charge for the internet.
My main complain and probably a good reason not to stay again in this Novotel were:
1) room service is awful. There is only one guy to take notes of your other and deliver the food in the rooms. Conclusion: he was always busy and asked me to returno my call to get the order. This took a huge amount of time. So I called back again. The soup was horrible, no salt at all, and there was no extra salt or butter served with soup: Just the bowl of soup and a couple of hard, cold bread. That's it!!! I told this to the front desk the next day and Marie kindly did not charge the soup.
The excuse was that the hotel was full of people asking room service: please! just one person to get the phone and deliver?
2) The worst problem was in the breakfast room. The buffet is ok, not as Novotel in Berlin or Munich, which were incredibly good. I wouldn't pay it separately (I got a Hot deal which included breakfast = 107 Euros/night). The alleged clean plates to serve breakfast were clearly dirty, with rests of eggs stuck onto the plates. I have to try more than 5 to get one with leftovers stuck on it!! How disgusting! The same with the cups and bowls. Awful! How come the staff in the kitchen and the restaurant didn't see this and put the plates there as clean???
