The entrance is a bit cheesy but the welcome from the staff warm and very pleasant. Make sure you get one of the refurbished rooms. We were a group of 20 on a business trip and a few of us were put in rooms which were sub-standard and age-worn. My room was newly refurbished, modern, clean and pleasant. Nice, clean bathroom albeit with the all too common poor lighting for shaving etc. Beds comfortable but a bit on the hard side. On the negative side a worn-out and rather disgusting corridor carpet and the fact that one out of two elevators were out of order throughout our three-day stay.

We stayed overnight and booked two rooms - one double and a junior suite/family room. The decor is a bit funky but original...our family room (sleeps 4) was large and had an Audrey Hepburn theme (velvet sofas, Oscar floor lamp, room divider with Audrey splashed across it, etc.). The beds were very comfortable and the staff very friendly. Our bathroom was spacious and new. The hotel has parking, which isn't always the case in this town. I have been visiting Strasbourg for years, and was quite pleased with this hotel. The location is close to Petite France and a short walk from the cathedral, close to the tram as well. Three minutes walk takes you to the pedestrian zone. They seem to be renovating the square in front of the hotel (it looks like they are redoing the garden) so this location will only improve over the next year. Breakfast was adequate but not memorable. The grandparents were happy with their room - quiet and comfortable with a nice floral decor. Overall a good value.

The hotel is perfectly located - close to the old town, the rail station, the tram stop. It has free wifi in rooms. But I was not lucky with the room - the furniture seemed old, and what was worst - it was dirty, I was afraid to sit on the bed comforter. The bathroom was also dirty (the bathtub was not cleaned). The service was poor - when I was coming back late I was treated rudely, same in the reception. I was expecting a bit more for the price I paid (at least a clean room!)
