Not very cosy, but acceptable hotel. No very clean, common showers&wc, small rooms etc., but not terrifying.

Thank God we only stayed for one night, Hotel Primo gives a complete mis-representation of what i could only refer to as a borstal. There was no shower or bath in our room or many others, just a urine stinking sink, 2 single beds with a bag of rags for a pillow and dog blankets for covers, light fittings that were falling off the wall. The noise outside was consistantly loud all night with cars playing loud music and drunk people shouting till around 4a.m. The only high points was seein a local lad who was playing football outside our hotel at 1a.m. getting beaten up, and to be fair the girl on reception was VERY helpful and friendly. I Would only recommend this hotel to thugs, tramps or dogs, but not my dogs!! Please go see for yourself if you think i'm just being negative about this Cell Block H revisit. I Only hope this review makes the web as it is a heartfelt view of my stay here, I Don't expect much from life but there is a minimum.

As the price was good, we didn't expect much. And that was what we got.. not much. It was poor and badly maintained. Don't do the breakfast! Only E6,- per person was still too much! The worst thing was, that it was sooo cold! Even with my pants, fleece sweater and ski-socks on, it was too cold! We haven't slept at all because of it.
Try an other hotel if you can, don't go here!

Went to Colmar for one night during the Christmas markets without having made a hotel reservation. Huge mistake. Every place was booked within 40-50 kilometers however just so happened to have a travel guide for young people dating from 2004 which actually recommended this hotel. Called and they had one room left. Took the room without seeing it. After seeing it I would have preferred sleeping in my car in December. The hallway of our floor reeked of septic- absolutely unbearable and we actually covered our mouths and noses when travelling (quickly!) to the elevator. The stink of cigarettes in our room was actually a relief, albeit unpleasant as well. I did not feel comfortable sitting on the bed, let alone sleeping in it. Everything was dirty, disgusting, outdated (think small iron twin beds), and the toilet was in the hallway next to the room where we heard everything anyone was doing in the toilet all night long. HORRIBLE. We stayed out as late as possible the one night we stayed in this hotel, closing down the restaurant and visiting every pub in town to avoid having to go back to the hotel. Wondered how the hotel was still running as I am sure it does not pass ANY health standards. Absolutely disgusting, stay far far away. Can't say much about location, as we had a car we got in it and drove to the center of town as soon as we woke up.
