Never book a hotel with a non refundable, prepaid conditions! It stinks.
First of all, aesthetically speaking the room we got was so bad. The problem is, they don't put the pics of THOSE rooms on their website. I mean it was so ugly and unacceptable for the 4* hotels standards. As I started to talk about their 4*, they don't have the amenities one is used to in a 4* hotel. I asked for sleepers and bathrobe - they simply don't have it and it's not a must anymore, I was told. The additional forth star is also a new thing the hotel got recently and you can just feel it everywhere but prices. Actually you still see only 3* (may be they forgot to change it or may be it's the only one relevant indicator of their quality) in their garage which costs 16 Euros a day.
Our welcome on the reception was very nice, the chef de reception is actually the best of this hotel, very professional, nice, good English, I think almost too good for this hotel (it's just my opinion). In the room the welcome was less cheerful - a hair in the bathtub, sorry but I'm very sensitive about the cleanliness of the bathroom! Clogged sink and leaking bathtub just rounded up the impression.
What more the receptionist....not nice anymore. And to say more, pretty rude for my taste.
Good points for this hotel - it's very central and the breakfast is very good and generous. When somebody looks just for it, you can still book this hotel. But when you want to have something more from this truly beautiful and hospital city, there are so many other corners that can satisfy even a very demanding traveler for the same money. Just look better!
