I stayed here on business for one night, arriving in the afternoon and leaving at about 9 the next morning.
Overall, I'd say this was a decent Doubletree. It was, until recently, the Mint hotel and the signage is still up and the taxi drivers certainly don't know it as the Doubletree Hilton yet.
It is about 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Station and 25 minutes in a taxi from the airport so the location is good.
The room I had was one of the better rooms and was quite big. I'd say that it was a bit 'sparse' on the furniture front but everything needed was there. The room was very clean but the chairs in the room were a little bit past their best.
The only negative was that the internet connection deteriorated very badly in the evening and the next morning to the point that it was unusable. I spoke to the reception staff and they said that there had been some issues. If, like me, you need to work and send emails I would check with them that this has been resolved as it really wasn't possible to work effectively.
A big positive was the fact that there is an iMac in each room so printing out boarding passes is easy - just print it from the iMac and it appears in reception.
Overall positive and good value but I'd want to know the internet is fixed before I stayed again.
