My dad and I went here for Sunday lunch today. We used a Frugaloo voucher which entitled us to Sunday lunch for two for £7.00. We live close by, but didn't realise this place existed. Well, what a surprise. It's a lovely hotel, a bit dated, but set in fantastic grounds. We didn't see the rooms, but the bar was really nice and the dining room was lovely too. The food was really good. It was a sort of carvery, but it was all plated up by the waiter - rather than you putting your own veg etc. on the plate. The staff were brilliant, friendly and attentive. We finished with drinks in the lounge looking over the gardens which we think would be great in the summer. To sum it up, I would say a little retreat in the centre of Manchester but you would think you were in the country. Give it a go.
