“Fantastic Hotel,”

We arrived at 8.30pm on the Saturday night as arranged. The Reception area was very impressive, Lovely and clean, well presented and the greeting we got was fantastic, Even down to knowing who we were. Checked in quickly and shown to our ground floor room (24). When we entered everything was beautifully presented as i had asked for. Rose petal turn down on the bed along with a single red rose. Champagne on ice along with chocolate covered strawberrys waiting. The shower was amazing and the roll top bath was huge. In the morning we went down for breakfast which can only be described as fantastic. The service was superb, coffee, toast, plenty of choice in condiments, and a very well presented full English Breakfast. We can't wait to return to this Hotel. I would recomend it to anyone.

“Perfection!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I was lucky enough to win a competition and the prize was 2 nights in a hotel of my choice in Manchester. I chose this hotel and without a doubt I chose the perfect place.
A really lovely, boutique style hotel, just a few minutes walk from Didsbury Hight Street with its choice of bars and restaurants and about 20 minutes drive into the centre of Manchester.
We stayed in the Eclectic Room and it was beautiful! Spotlessly clean, very warm and welcoming, arrived to soft music in the room and was stunned by the roll-top bath in the actual bedroom. A lovely touch. Ample towels and toiletries, lovely soft lighting and french doors onto a pretty outside patio!
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly throughout, nice bar area and breakfasts both days were superb. All freshly cooked to order and excellent choice of menu!
The whole building is warm and inviting, especially on a cold winters weekend in February!
Would 100% recommend this gem to anyone visiting the area! We stayed in room 23 which was quiet and peaceful, although if the outside area had been busy then I guess it may have been slightly different.
Just one small (and its very small) criticism, a distinct lack of space in the lovely bathroom to place your own toiletries, no shelf or storage, just a little ledge at the side of the sink, very narrow.
Loved it and would definately recommend!

“Avoid room 10”

On arrival we were very impressed with this hotel.
We were allocated room 10 which is on the ground floor next to the reception area.
If you want a good nights sleep then this is not the room for you!!! There is a constant loud noise which kept me awake all night. When we enquired what the noise was we were told it was the boiler which is housed next to this room. Also we could hear everything from the reception.
The mini bar is very over priced. £5 for a bottle of mineral water!!!!
Overall the hotel is nice but our stay was ruined by the noise so would not return or recommend to anyone. Shame.

“Beautiful Hotel, fantastic wedding venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We recently had our wedding at the Didsbury House Hotel. The whole day was perfect! The staff at the hotel were amazing and went out of their way to make sure the day was exactly what we wanted. Jess, Libby & Dan in particular were fantastic. All of our guests thought the hotel was beautiful and I'm sure they'll be staying at the hotel if they visit Manchester again. Can't recommend the hotel more highly!

“The best wedding”

We had our wedding hear on the 30th of December, what a fantastic day. We owe it to the didsbury house hotel and of coarse the manager Libby. They were professional and so helpful from start to finish and did there up most to make the day go so smoothly, nothing was to big or small. The hotel is stunning and made for great photos, and also for a great stop over for one big house party, it felt like our own house for the night. All the guest have made comment to the beautiful rooms, and the great food. I can't believe it's over, I am going to miss the close communication we had with LIbby and the hotel. Anyone looking for a wedding venue, look no further. Thank you again Libby for helping us make our day so special.
