Had tickets for Coldplay at the MEN Arena. I booked online at the Apartments own website after checking trip advisor and the reviews left. We also had a telephone call about 3 days before from them to double check the booking was still required.

The place has underground secured parking which was a real bonus in the middle of Machester.

Very pleased - the place is great. We had a one bedroomed apartment at the back of the block, No great views but a small balcony - did not investigate further than pulling back the curtain - it is December!

The whole apartment is huge when you consider the size of some hotel rooms - a seperate bedroom ,bathroom and lounge/kitchen diner all off its own entrance foyer. We were on the 5th Floor and it was very quiet you wouldn't have known that there was anyone else around, no noise through walls not a sound.

The whole place was spotlessly clean and very well, comfortably furnished. The bed was comfy and there were extra pillows in the wardrobe something I find lacking in most hotels.

In the kitchen there was a fridge and a freezer and dishwasher, microwave and fully supplied cupboards with all utensils/ crockery that you could need. We only stayed one night and did not need to use any of this but if you were staying for a couple of nights or a week they would be invaluable.

There was the usual complimentary tea/coffee supplies and mugs as well as cups.

The bathroom was huge and very clean with the biggest tub I have seen outside of a house.

If the rest of the chain are as good as the Manchester apartments I will be visiting on a regular basis and not even looking at hotels!

The one and only criticism I have is that they dont give you enough information on the web site or booking regarding the underground secure parking. We had a hell of a job finding garage which has a different postcode to the front door!

We rang reception who were so helpful and basically talked us in, I think more info at booking would have helped enourmously - they could have emailed us a map.

I would also have liked more information at booking on the fact that they have to take a 250 pounds damage deposit and can only do this on a credit card. Would have been interesting if I didnt have one!

All in all a very good find and a pleasant stay

Coldplay were brillient as well!

Management response from PremierApartments, General Manager

Dear Linda,
Thank you very much for taking the time to review your recent stay with us.
It was a shame you had a few problems locating the car park.
For future reference and for any other potential guests, if you have a satnav device and have booked one of our limited number of spaces, the postcode of our premises actually takes you to the very street where the entrance is located (different to our postal road name), as it can be difficult to find otherwise - once in the basement there is a lift which takes you directly to reception and serves all floors in the building.
Regarding the security deposit, this was mentioned in the email confirmation sent to you upon booking via our web site; but I am pleased this did not present a hitch.
I am delighted you found the apartments to your satisfaction & look forward to welcoming you back the next time you are in the North West.

Very hard to fault these apartments after a 2 night stay. 4 of us were over to see a match and our needs were to have somewhere central for night time and to be able to get to Old Trafford without too much bother. Both of these needs were well met.

The location of the hotel is about a 5 minute walk (at most) from the Printworks where there are plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants to be found. The metrolink stop is across the road from the apartments and trains are every 12 minutes.

The staff were very friendly and the apartments are well serviced and spotless. This is everything that you would want from an apartment and has a huge advantage over a hotel in that you can relax in the living room and cook in the kitchen. There is a supermarket next door as well.

Can't fault anything about these apartments and having used them on a trip to Liverpool as well, I always check if this company have a location in the city that i am visiting.

Hi All,

I've stayed here a few times and so can say that it is a very nice place to stay, apartments are normally very clean and tidy.

I have stayed in two bedroom apartments as well as a one bedroom apartment.
They have a lovely lounge with a kitchen, good size bathrooms also. The two bedroom apartments also have ensuite with one of the bedrooms.

The last two times that I’ve stayed here I must admit I felt there had been a drop in their service.

The reception ladies and security are great and very helpful, we have arrived very late a few times and the security guards have kept our keys for us.

The visit before the last, my friends and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment, one of the bedrooms had little blood drop stains all over one of the walls and in the shower. It looked very unhygienic.

The second time that we stayed their was earlier this month, we were up for a friends wedding and requested for new bed sheets as they had black marks on them and appeared not to have been cleaned prior to us booking in.

Also there appeared to something very unusual going on at the hotel, we even questioned prostitution and raised this with the receptionists who agreed that the wrong type of person had booked in. One of the ladies gave a bag to reception and said keep this for my friend who will be coming later to pick it up, however wouldn't give her friends name, and on questioning started shouting if you don’t let me go, "I'm going to get beaten up because of you". This lady got quite aggressive when the receptionist tried to get more information out of her.

Later the receptionist told us that there was some form of prostitution going on and that they would be informing night security guards.

I'm not one to write bad reviews for little things but this I feel should be high-lighted as it did concern us.

I have stayed here many a times and have always been impressed with the apartments but the last two times have made me reconsider where I'll be stayed on my next visit to Manchester.

Hope you find my review helpful

Management response from PremierApartments, General Manager

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review of your stay at Premier Apartments.

I would like to re-assure you and any other potential guests, that the incident you mentioned was a one off occurrence and was dealt with swiftly and efficiently by our team on site at the time.

We at Premier Apartments take a very strict line on unacceptable behaviour and do not tolerate any form of such attitude in general or to our staff and other guests.

The individuals in question had their booking prematurely terminated, had their details passed onto the authorities and will not be permitted to return.

As you have mentioned, your previous stays have been enjoyable and we hope this exceptional incident will not deter you from staying with us again.

Kind regards.

We booked the Premier Apartments through Late Rooms but would have saved £4 if we had booked direct through the hotel's own website. You have to pre-register any car details for the secure parking and the reception staff were very friendly and professional on the phone.

On arrival the reception is easy to miss as it sort of looks like a small office from the outside. The secure parking is a tad tricky to find as it is not at the front of the hotel, but down a back street. This was the worst bit of the hotel. Once you have checked in you are given a key card and security code to access the hotel from the front, and another code to access the hotel from the carpark. Pre-check in however you have to walk from the carpark up the dingy side street (complete with drug addict slumped on the pavement). It would be better if during reception hours there was some sort of speakerphone on the carpark security code pad to gain access. Check-in was quick and efficient. It said on the website and email from Late Rooms that proof of identity (eg passport) and £250 deposit would be required but neither was requested.

Our booking was for a 2 bedroom apartment. Most of the apartment is carpeted although the hallway and bathrooms are wood. It was very clean. The only negatives that I can identify are that several of the curtains were hanging off the rails (the hangers were broken) which looked a bit downtrodden and the lounge window was filthy with large smudges down it where people had pressed against it. That should have been cleaned.

Otherwise though the apartment was very clean. There was 2 small couches, coffee table, tv, stereo, kitchen table and chairs (would have been a squeeze for 4 people to eat at). Lots of kitchen workspace, a few coffee/tea bags, milk and biscuits (broken!). There is an ironing board, fridge and washing machine. A few generic toiletries and ample towels (no flannels). The bedrooms were comfortable. The ensuite was a decent size, the other a bit small but fine for the purpose, and both had floor length mirrors which is just what you need when you're all girls getting ready for a night out!

Location is perfect for the MEN arena. Only took 15 mins to walk there from Piccadilly station, and about 5 to the MEN. Also took about 5 mins max to walk down to the Printworks and the big wheel.

We checked out before reception opened so had to leave our keycards in a postbox - that was quite a squeeze! If lots of people did this it would be a problem.

For the money and purpose we were impressed.

Had a great stay here this weekened. Was in manchester for a friends party and couldnt have asked for a better hotel.

Easy check in. The car park was easily found by using the post code into the sat nav.

Pleasant staff at reception.

Clean well equiped apartment.

Comfortable bed. Non smoking room ( room 107)

Quiet and excellent nights sleep.

Location really is superb - 2 min walk to printworks and arndale centre.

Breakfast at North Cafe was a pleasantly good surprise. Good value and tasty.

For 72 pounds ( cheapest price was on the website). Its great value and we would definately stay here again!
