We stayed in this hotel Friday and Saturday nights. Having read the reviewson Trip Advisor beforehand where it recommended that if booking a room request floor below 5th and Street view. We were assured our requests would be met. On arrival we were told no rooms below 5th floor were available however we were given a Street view on the 5th. The room was a bit on the small side but was adequate for us. Big TV on wall was a plus, the room was cold but Reception adjusted our heating settings for us and it was fine. We paid a very good price for this hotel and the location is ideal!! I have stayed in this hotel before in 2004 and noticed it has since been renovated. Lovely Reception area and check in albeit a bit slow, staff were polite and pleasant. We bought the breakfast deal 2 persons for £15 per day in hindsight we were a bit hasty buying that, however there was plenty of different items on the menu and it was nice . Our first night was quite noisey there was a constant whir of pipes and boiler pumping noises (like your toilet cistern filling up) coming from elswhere in the hotel as we didn't get up through the night. We were happy with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. The benefit of the Street view room meant we were away from the tiny 6 person lift shafts so we were not distrurbed by other hotel guests or the lift mechanisms. Overall factors regarding value for money, (make sure you get a good rate) location and staff friendliness will bring me back to this hotel.
