Our family room was large and clean - probably newly refurbished - nice bathroom but all very basic. We heard breakfast was undercooked - so we gave that a miss and opted to eat elsewhere. There were lots of people complaining when we checked out - so i think we got lucky with our room and avoiding food! The guy on reception was friendly to us, and their was 24 hour access to the hotel.
I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you were on an absolute budget and couldn't afford anything else - we stayed there as it was the hotel with a family room available that weekend. Given the choice I'd have stayed else where.

First thing the staff were bothered about was getting an extra 3 quid for the car park.

We booked three rooms for the Take That concert. One room was very nice at the top of the building and had a lovely bathroom.

The second premium room had a bathroom radiator that you couldn't turn off and it was roasting! They also obviously didn't know how to use masking tape! The pattern on the wall was very amateur!

The third room was an economy twin and it was AWFUL! If you get put in 112 then make sure you change straightaway.

I actually feel sorry for the owners because it could be a really nice hotel with just a little investment and time.

Breakfast was very basic and the staff looked as if they could not be bothered! Egg and toast was the only option. Corn flakes were also available. They also had dirty linen scattered all over the halls.

Overall it was terrible and I would advise you to book elsewhere.

This was without doubt the worst hotel experience of my life. I had a look on the hotel website and for some strange reason they didnt put the pictures up of the ceiling falling down in the bathroom woodlice and ants everywhere, damp problems bare wires etc. The staff were very rude and as we were let into our room the porter made a comment of "it's your problem now" .
Some has made a comment of. what do you expect from a 2 star hotel. Well alot more than this.
90 pounds for the room, shamefull.

Stayed one night in a single room, chose the hotel because of the location. The room had a bare wire hanging form the ceiling with a light bulb hanging form it. To get to my room I had to walk over an electric cable that was plugged into a wall socket in the corridor that went out of the window opposite, accross the courtyard at the back of the hotel to a light on the outside of the building opposite. At 3.00 am I was woken as someone entered my room and insited it was his room. I eventually made him leave but it left me feeling very uneasy for the rest of night. How did he manage to open my door? I am a male but shudder to think if had been a lone female. When i complained at reception in the morning I was told two key cards had been issued for my room by mistake and the man who entered my room was very drunk! Oh so that's alright then! I have been trying to contact the manager for a week now but keep getting excuses, he is day off, he is on holiday. Half the hotel resembles a building site and the other half is dirty and unkempt. If you want breakfast forget it unless you want to wait an hour. I have stayed in many hotels and bed and breakfast establishments over the years and even India can offer better facilities than here. If you value your safety, do not under any circumstances stay here. How they are allowed to operate as a hotel is totally beyond me.
