Very comfortable room, excellent reception staff - all in all good value for money with breakfast included

Although we live relatively near to the Lowry Theatre, its always nice to m\ke a full night of it and stay in a hotel especially when youre child free all night!!
This is the closest hotl to the Lowry Theatre/Shopping Centre so thought we would give it a try especially as breakfast is provided as part of the package unlike other hotels close by.
Luckily Man Utd were playing away that day so there is plenty of parking at the hotel, also a bonus if you also want to go shopping acreoss the way as you dont need to move your car and pay.
Room was immaculately clean and everything that you would expect from a chain hotel room, kettle and beverages supplied and also a hairdryer.
Views either overlook the Lowry Centre and waters or the other way is Man Utd.
Breakfast was pletiful and plenty of seating available and also available for 4 hours on a weekend morning, very good quality produce and again lovely views watching ifiots canoeing on a January morning!!!
Hotel bar a little on the small and quiet side when we were there we also walked across the little walkway behind the hotel to the Beefeater Bar and a couple near the theatre.

Would love to go back.

Reasonable location, good sized car park, excellent breakfast - especially scrambled egg. Have arranged to meet people here a few times, and they've always found it difficult to locate - a few brown 'Holiday Inn Express' signs in the surrounding approach roads wouldn't go amiss. Landmarks to look out for are the Tesco Express on Trafford Road at a fairly large traffic junction - opposite here you'll see Chiquitos and some fading blue cranes, aim for these and Waterfont Quays, where the hotel is located at the end of.

Breakfast was included but dont expect it to be anything more than very basic & mediocre to poor quality.
Rooms are ok, cleanish and average size.
Lifts were out of order several days during the week
Location is good with a choice of family restaurants within 10 minutes walk.
View of Salford Quays is a selling point but everything else is basic/below average.
Reception staff need to go on a customer training course, but kitchen/serving staff were fine
