This hotel looks like something out of the 1800's old fashion needs a lick of paint. The bed sheets are filthy and smell. We was not made to feel welcome by the staff that work at the danum oh hell!!! People going to doncaster pick a diffrent hotel. And as for breakfast dont get me started on the crumpets!!!!

All I can say is people never appreciate, the hotel is by far good stayed at Regent in town it's a low class! Every week I am always in Doncaster I book my hotel there man it's fine no problems, never tried their food because I like to explore outside. If you have a problem of sleeping try somewhere else because the hotel is in the middle of town and 100 yards away from popular bars. Decent rooms and Close to all public transport. And lastly if you book in advance it's so cheap, the rooms are likely the same with Premier inn.

I travel a little bit with work so have seen a few hotels all of varying quality.This is by far the worst ive seen. First impressions were not great when i had to get by a couple of blokes having a smoke in the middle of the steps directly in front of the 'no smoking on the steps' sign. Not very inviting.. Reception decor is probably the best thing about the hotel (am not including the staff on reception!) as it goes downhill from there. The rest of the hotel is tired and shabby. no way 3 stars. Found it difficult to find the room, as the signage was poor to non existant. the carpets were grubby in need of replacing the whole place is in very poor condition.

The room itself was freezing when i got in there. I had no heating from the radiator for the entire time i was there. Had to pull out the two spare fan heaters which were in the wardrobe. rang reception a couple of times. At first they said an engineer would come and have a look, no one did. Then the second time, that it had been fixed and would be coming on shortly. again, no heat from the radiator was forthcoming. The room next door also had no heat and were running fan heaters. This caused the power to trip out twice. Not really acceptable for a any kind of hotel, let alone one this says its 3 stars. The room was very poor and in need of some serious attention. I have never slept on a worse mattress, springs are NOT supposed to jab into your back! There was no information in the room at all as to any of the hotels services. Lastly the bathroom. It made my toes curl. Cold, dirty and the most disgusting shower. not sure what the cleaners have been up to. not much as far as i could see!!

As if the confirm my overall thoughts as i left in the morning the duty manager was there slumped in one of the chairs by reception complaining about how tired she was and the two receptionists sat there complaining about other people who worked in the hotel.

Set in the center of Doncaster the danum hotel offers an ideal location for a night in town yet quiet enough for a good nights sleep. The room was basic comfortable and clean with a cracking breakfast in the morning.
