The hotel is actually in Bawtry - a great spot for a weekend or night away. The hotel itself is an old building but has been refurbished in a modern trendy style and it works well. The bar area, restaurant and rooms are all very comfortable with pleasant mood lighting etc. Our double room was well furnished, great walk in shower and a comfortable bed - the memory foam mattress may not be to everyone's liking but my wife and I both slept well and liked it. Breakfast was also good and plentiful.
The only real niggle was the limited parking - (we parked in the pay and display at the front as the hotel car park was full - it was only £2 for 4 hours (8am - 8pm mon - sat), but I had to move the car after 4 hours to avoid the maximum time restrictions).
Overall we would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

We stayed for one night and our room was very spacious, the bed was big, the decour was lovely. Everything was clean and we were very happy with it.
The only bad thing was that they dont have an elevator.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

We went here for a birthday meal and the service food and urroundings were excellent. The cuisine is modern and seasonal with a good variety. Starters we had a fish sharing platter, all the ingredients were cooked to perfection and thepotted shrimps were a revelation. I had a main of pork belly with black pudding mash, absolutely beautiful. The others had a variety of pasta dishes which were, if anything, a little large. The seafood chouder was teaming with scallops, prawn, samon and smoked haddock simply melting in the mouth. Me and my daughter finished with the chocolate brownie with white chocolate chip icecream, YUM YUM.

The waitress could not do enough for us but was not overbearing. One of the best meals we have had all year.

The hotel is central in Bawtry just outside of Doncaster. The rooms are individual and have great facilities. The staff are always helpful and not intrusive, the restaurant is not large so this makes it more accommodating for the traveling business person or a group. The menu covers most tastes and portions are generous.The car park at the rear of the hotel is free but fills up fast.
