“Location not great, but hotel's OK.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I stayed at the Park Inn, Doncaster, for a few days while I was on a course. The rooms were clean and the shower was great. There's a kettle & tea/coffee in the room and a hair dryer. My bed was very comfortable and there was no noise issue. The breakfast wasn't the best but the evening meal I had was fine. The hotel is a bit of a distance to the station/town centre. I found the staff to be friendly and efficient.

“Upmarket feel budget price”

Stayed here for just a night but was very impressed. The Park Inn is clearly competing in the budget hotel bracket and it seems to be going a good job.

The checkin service was efficient and friendly and my room was a good size. Comfy bed and good bathroom. Quite a bit of noise from the road outside so worth asking for a quiter room at check in.

Ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Both where ok, nothing special but reasonably priced pub grub.

“Unprofessional”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Being a frequent business traveller I have stayed at many hotels varying from the cheap and cheerful to the expensive but worth the money. I can honestly say that I have never experienced such unprofessional and poor management. At a recent trip here for a meeting I witnessed a tirade of verbal abuse from a member of management toward a team member. This exclamation of insults was neither necessary toward the staff member (who infact deserves acknowledgement for their manner and professionalism in comparison to their manager) nor did it display any professionalism in front of a room of customers. This establishment has a long way to go if it hopes to entice customers in the future.

“Poor food, good rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

The food is barely eatable as we also stayed from 1-4th december. The pork chop was served on it's own on thursday and not even apple sauce as a compliment for it. On Friday the scrambled eg at breakfast time was pure revolting it was GREY in colour just under the top 3mm and the 'serve yourself' tea machine was inadequet for the number of people preasent. I had the 'strawbweey gateau' on Saturday, we waited at least 15 mins between the main course and the dessert and when it arrived we knew why- they were waiting fot to thaw out as it was a frozen one from Iceland or Maybe Asda value, the strawberry was still frozen solid and the so called forest gateau was the same and as dry as a desert. the excuse for potatoes that we got on saturday was nothing but a plate of mush, we asked what it was and no-one knew.
The staff of waitressess are friendly and couteous and the rooms good, BUT using s bar which had round wooden tables and were not even covered on Sunday morning for breakfast surely breaks all H&S rules. As for the location you are taking you life in your hands crossing the road to the Lakeside centre as there is not even a footpath on the otherside of the road.. i hope the tour operators take note and dont use this hotel again unless it improves the quaLITY of food dramatically.

“Omega Coach trip staying at the Park Inn Doncaster”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

, Staff were friendly and helpful. Eating arrangements left much to be desired.
We arrived at 6:30pm and told dinner was at 7:00pm. We were then led through the so called dinning room to, meeting room 1, where conference tables were laid out for dinner. First course arrived 1 hour later. Bread rolls arrived but no side plates available to butter them, and 2 bread rolls short. Dinning room guessed all recieved each course of food first, and the the Meeting room people last. Main meal (Lasagne) arrived tepidly warm, dry and garlic slice cold.My fellow passenger bounced her fork off the top of her burnt offering.
Deputy Manager approached who said I told the Manager we could not manage 3 coaches in at once. The Kitchen can not cope. When asked where the Manage was, we were told he was on Holiday until MONDAY.
Quiet drinks in comfy surroundings, NO. All the bar area was covered with diners.

Lovely clean rooms and large but the social occasion of the evening a very poor attempt. Hotel in on an Industrial Estate so no walking around at night impossible.

Room Tip: We were in second floor. Rooms very large, good power shower TV and twin beds.
