Stayed recently while on business in a standard double room.
Buffet breakfast was ok. Staff friendly enough.
For anyone confused by the heating controls it was just like a premier inn, leave the controls on the heater and just adjust the thermostat on the wall and the room got warm enough. Unfortunatley the room I was in had an overpowering smell of damp, I tried opening the windows but it just wouldnt go. Not sure were it was comming from but it definatley needs sorting, if I had been staying longer than one night I would have asked to be moved but as it was I just wanted to get to sleep so didn't bother.
The bathroom in the room I was in needed some serious updating.
Then in the morning I was overcharged for my evening meal.
There is a lot of hard work to be done here to meet the standards of most of the other best westerns I have stayed in and I have stayed in excess of 50 of them in the UK.

I am glad that you enjoyed your breakfsat and the staff were friendly.
We started redecorating the bathroms in december last year and are now continuing throughout the whole hotel in stages.
We hope you will return to us so you can see the improvments made
