stayed for one night ,wish it were longer ,lovely old hotel ,a gem right in the centre of lancaster ,comfortable nice clean room ,staff were freindly and helpful ,breakfast cooked to order and served in a beautiful dining room with character ,the best thing to do is judge for yourself ,i dont think you can fault this hotel ,free parking and so central ,cant wait to stay again ,good value for money

We stayed here as part of Oxford Inns January sale which gave us 2 nights B&B for just over £80.

If you want a modern Premier Inn type experience then for goodness sake don’t stay here! However if you want to stay in a charming old hotel which must have been spectacular in its day then give it a go.

The hotel is in need of refurbishment but everything seemed to work ok, in fact our shower was the most powerful I’ve ever been in. Our room wasn’t very big as they had obviously had to find space for a generous sized bathroom, but how much room do you need to sleep?

We only ate breakfasts in the hotel but they were very good indeed with plenty of choice and the service was also faultless,

Stayed here this week for 1 night in a single. Came in from the pub and the room was pretty cold as the heating had gone off ... January ???? Soon came on though. Room ok - bit small but big bathroom. The bed was tired and matress old but NO HEADBOARD on bed. Couldnt sit up to watch telly or read - bit naff.

Food ok but for £36 can't really complain - pub opposite great so overall ok

Our double room had all that we needed and was excellent for the price. Bathroom was good and it was nice to have a bath as well as a shower though the plumbing made strange noises and the bath was a very slow filler. Hospitality tray was rather poor (standard Nescafe and Typhoo, no biscuits) and though the bed was comfortable we were kept awake by noisy drunken revellers - I suppose unsurprising given it was a Saturday night and the hotel is in the centre of town. Breakfast was very unimpressive - all the food was poor quality and the mini croissants and pain chocolate were burnt and barely edible. However, we needed a hotel near the train station and the bus station and this fitted the bill. It's certainly very good value but don't expect luxury.
