I stayed at this hotel for one night on business and it was a really positive experience. Everything is brand spanking new and the build quality seems good - from the marble flooring in the lobby to the fixtures and fitting in the bedroom.
Don't confuse this hotel with the Holiday Inn Express on the other side of the same motorway junction which is far more basic (and currently around the same price although this may change as the HI gets busier).
Check in was smooth and friendly and as a Priority Club member I was offered an upgrade to a room in the Executive Wing. This had a small lounge area with a sofa and a big flatscreen TV, a fairly compact bathroom and a larger bedroom area with another big TV. All very comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was excellent - a nice cold buffet of cereals, fresh fruit, cheese, ham, yogurts, juices etc but, refreshingly, no heaps of cooked eggs, bacon and sausages sitting on hotplates for hours on end. Instead you could order hot breakfast dishes freshly cooked from the chef. I had eggs benedict which were perfect.
I didn't check out the leisure facilities but plan to next time!
My only complaint is that they charge for wifi - a hefty £12.95 per day or £4.95 per hour. This will definitely influence my decision on whether to stay here more regularly.

Thank you for your recent review of your stay at the Holiday Inn Walsall M6 Jct. 10. It is always a pleasure to receive such positive feedback, It is especially rewarding when the hotel has only been open such a short amount of time. Our Wi Fi prices are currently under review but I do hope this does not affect your decision to return back to the hotel if we continue to charge for this service. We look forward to welcoming you back.
