“xmas 2011”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

We had a lovely time here this xmas, this was our first xmas away and i did not know what to expect. The food was first class at every meal ( far too much really ) but hey its was xmas.
The staff were great, special mention to merle and gillian very friendly service. However i feel a special mention should be made to mark who went that extra mile to make sure everyone had a nice time .I wish him every sucess in his career he deserves to go far.Well we will be back next year.this hotel is just down the road from my daughters so couldnt be more convienient

“Seen better days”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

Conveniently situated on an industrial estate, right on the main road, and next to a landfill site, this hotel has seen better days.

Rooms on the top floor seem to have that old favourite, woodchip wallpaper, yuk! Dour rooms with very little natural or even electric lighting.

Bed OK, shower and bathroom small but good.

Downstairs looks very good, they must have spent a few bob modernising it, and are rapidly getting the money back through the bar....... £15 for 2 glasses of wine!!!!!

I could continue, but you get the jist of this report.

Would I go back? No way Jose!

Room Tip: Go to a Holiday Inn!

“I have stayed several times”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

I have stayed at Barons court several times over the last couple of years the room i had first was on top floor very very nice bathroom very large everything up to a good standard but the air conditioner was out side the window , the last time was the weekend of the 22nd of october on the surface the room looked nice on close inspection it was dirty the ceiling over the bath/shower had dirty bubble marks on the seal around the bath was shabby, the window frame was very dirty as was the sill there was no sheet over the base of the bed and you could see it was very stained even though there was new bedding on the bed. the reason i stay is it is the nearest hotel to family and i dont drive

“WON US OVER”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

On arrival we were given 2 rooms. 1 an "exective" room and the other "basic" although we had paid the same for both. As we had our 82 year old mother with us, having the shower in the bath was impossible for her to lift her leg to get into bath. After asking at reception if there was a room with walk in shower i was very surprised to learn that this hotel does not have disable washing facilites.
On a brighter note after complaining we were moved to much better rooms (staff did try to make our stay a good one, which i have to say did work).
Our evening meal was out of this world. Fabulous. Breakfast also very good. Enjoyed our stay for weekend.
NB please try sort washing problems out for elderly
Staff very helpful indeed.
Thank you

Dear Guest

Thank you so much for your response on trip advisor. I am really glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and in particular the food. My team really know that the customer is the priority and I'm glad this was evident during your stay.

The elderly/disabled facilities at the hotel are something we are discussing at the moment and although we have recently put a disabled toilet on the ground floor and ramps we know there is still alot to do and hopefully in the near future can address those issues.

Best wishes to you and your family, hopefully you will visit Barons Court again one day

Kind regards

my partner and I stayed here with a coach party. The hotel was clean and the staff were polite and friendly. The food was exceptionally good for this type of holiday and the hotel played a big part in our enjopyment of this trip. Well done.
