Whilst the room I stayed in was adequate, bed comfortable, TV kettle etc, My bathroom was tiny, though the shower was OK. but a relative also staying there for one night was told he was too tall for the room!!! - an attic room with a sloping ceiling in which he could not stand up straight, in part of it, and not at all in the bathroom.A large downstairs room had been promised on booking and this was not complied with. The proprietor did not want to refund payment for the second night as my relative preferred to checkout and find somewhere else. Breakfast - only white bread no brown or wholemeal for toast, one measly slice cut in two came with the fried egg, no fruit, yoghurt, served in squashed communal tables in very small dining area, and announcement half way through that as the grill had blown a fuse, no bacon, sausage etc could be cooked... it was OK to stay one night and convenient for
it was OK for one night to attend a family event nearby, but not good value for £59 when for example a stay at a Premier Inn costs very little more
