“Great Place to Stay for Both Business and Leisure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

We came here as a family of five (3 children aged 12, 5 and 5) and the room provided was very comfortable with enough beds for us all.

We were greeted by Ricky who was to be our main contact during the week we were there and he was wonderful to deal with. He catered to all our needs (even keeping breakfast going on later as we had not got to the room in time).

The room was very clean and as there were only four beds, we were allowed to move the beds together. Proof that the place was very clean was the fact that there was no dust anywhere from where we had moved the beds and furniture around (often we have found places that will have dust anywhere that is covered by furniture).

Each morning, we were provided with both a cooked breakfast and plenty of choice of cereals and our room would be restocked with milk and coffee.

There was also free WiFi and a fridge in the room.

The location of the place is pretty convenient (about 10 minutes from Watford town centre or Pinner/Harrow town centre.

The staff (and in particular Ricky) were very friendly, the room very clean and we would highly recommend staying at this place and would not hesitate to staying there again.

“Very comfortable b&b in quiet suburb”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

Stayed here for 4 nights in July on business. Room on 2nd floor was spacious with 3 beds (perhaps a waste if a family was looking for a booking). Bit of a hike up 2 flights with my bags but not a real problem for me. I was just wanting a bed for the night as I was working long hours around greater London. Satisfied with the continental breakfast choice of coffee, OJ, cereal and toast, but full English was on offer. WI-fi Internet connection was free in the room but I found it a little bit temperamental. All in all, Frithwood House met my needs as a business traveler.

“Clean, comfortable and a great breakfast!”

Conveniently located and only 5-10 mins from the Northwood tube station. We had a quad room which was a decent size, very light and airy. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We even had our own fridge! Only (incredibly) minor negative with the room was that there were only 2 cups for tea/coffee, although I'm sure Ricky (the manager) would have brought us more if we had asked!

The breakfast room is a tad small, but the breakfast itself more than makes up for it. Also, Ricky is really friendly and very obliging and nothing was too much trouble for him.

All in all I would definitely return to Frithwood House!

“Friendly place, good if you need somewhere which is reasonable value for money in the area.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2011

Ricky, the manager, is very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is from 7 - 8, too late for me but looked good. My room was big, first on the right on the ground floor.

“Adequate at best”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2011

Convenient location, very clean linen and decent bed. Bathroom wasn't very clean, and the dirty scuffed walls and peeling skirting desperately need repainting. Be warned of the thin walls and bring earplugs. TV kept losing signal. Also the breakfast room is in the same room as the kitchen so your hair and clothing will smell like a cooked breakfast--shower after breakfast, not before. Lastly there was food (ketchup) on the dining room curtains, which just made me feel the whole place needed a thorough clean. Could be quite nice with a little more attention to detail.
