Location is very good, right next to the shopping centre,

However the walls are very thin. It seems a lot of people stay there who are young and like to drink! So you can hear them when they come home.

The staff I found are a bit slow behind the reception desk.

Not somewhere that I will stay again. I have tried to twice now and it's always been the same. There is plenty of other places to stay

We stay in MK quite a lot - I work for the Open University and usually take the family and make a weekend of it when called to HQ. As a result we have stayed in many hotels in the area but we are all agreed that this is the best. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and the atrium around the main bar and glass sided elevators make it feel quite special. Yes, the rooms are showing their age, but spotlessly clean with controllable heating, space and a BIG flatscreen telly. Swimming pool is a good size (no jacuzzi sadly - perhaps would have given 5 stars if there was) and gym very good. The staff are unfailingly smiley and helpful. We had a lovely stay here and will definitely return.

One thing I'd like to make a point about - the HI 'first night free if you find it cheaper' thing. We found it cheaper on Expedia, but to get this you have to find it cheaper, then book it on the HI site at the higher price, then claim your free night. Would you trust them to give you your free night? If so, you are braver than me! I booked it on Expedia :)

Regularly stay at Holiday Inns for work and this is definitely 1 of the best.
Lovely hotel in good location.
Friendly team who always make you feel at home.
Fab breakfast guaranteed - will definitely be back soon!!

4th stay at this hotel,
Visits seem to be getting worst! Last visit very dirty towels and heart attack Meds left in bedside table,
This time room stunk and hit me as I walked straight in.
Shower curtain dirty
Don't think my room had been used in a long time but nicer layer out than previous rooms.
Staff amazingly will help rectify anything and they give freebies when requested such as tooth paste etc
Eat out! Don't eat their food! And take plenty money if wanting to buy drinks @ bar
