Booked this hotel at the last minute, I normally stay other Hotels whilst in Bolton. Was not sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised.
Bad points first we had booked a disabled room and though it was of a good size its location was as far from the reception as possible which was one hell of a distance. The bathroom had a low bath in it with a shower over it ( which my disabled partner struggles to get into ) and the room was a little bit tired (nothing a lick of paint couldn't put right)
The good point outweigh the bad points by far
The room was a very good size with a very comfy bed, bathroom was large, dressing table, table and chair also good, open plan wardrobe (This I am not a lover of) Ironing board and iron in the room with tea coffee and biscuits plentiful with more given on request. Tv although old worked well with choice of 8 or 9 stations. Heating worked very well.
Reception and staff very pleasant and welcoming easy to check in and out. Staff polite and helpful and not in the least bit pushy.
Bar area pleasant though we only had 1 drink at the bar it appeared comfy and friendly.
Appeared to be a w ifi area though we did not use it, a lot of people with laptops was sat in this area so I supposed it works.
Did not dine in the hotel at night due to other appointments but the food looked nice as we walked past and would certainly try it the next time.
The breakfast was an extra £5 each and was very good value for money. It is of the buffet type so eat as much as you want with the bacon in particular very good quality.
Will stay here again
