What a great idea! We have been using this Yotel almost since it opened and are always impressed by it's location and value. The staff are always friendly and efficient and any requests are happily met. The only issue we ever had there ( a problem with the air conditioning) was resolved to everyone's satisfaction by the next visit. It's so quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle that the first few times you emerge back into the terminal from the lift near arrivals you might be tempted to think "What are all these people doing in my living room?" Being right in the South Terminal, it's just so convenient for check in or your onward journey by road or rail. It's such a shame the the airport itself has lost so many of it's shops
and other distractions during it's everlasting "improvements". What little charm Gatwick had has
now gone. It now just feels like "Join the passenger production line here. Please remove your
shoes, place your dignity in the tray provided, and ensure you have your wallet and passport ready" At least the Yotel is there if you need to catch your breath.
