“Hidden Car Parking Charges with Hotel/Parking Package”

I have just returned from a trip to Italy
No problem with the Hotel whatsoever but having booked a package to stay and park I was somewhat surprised to be asked for another £10 to get out of the hotel car park. Nothing is mentioned when you book and it is only in small print at the end of the confirmation after they have taken payment.
I have requested refund and that the booking should show all costs and be made more transparent.
I will advise if the refund is given

Thank you for your review on Gatwick Airport Central Premier Inn.

I am sorry to hear you were disappointed to be charged £10 on your return. Our park and fly packages are for 8 or 15 days, if your car is in our car park any longer than the booked period of time, there is an extra £10 charge per night. This is stated in the terms and conditions, which are signed by guests on check in. However I would like to offer my apologies that you were not aware of this.

If you would like to contact the hotel on 0871 527 8406 option 3 we can discuss the matter further and arrange a refund of the £10 for you.

I hope that apart from this matter, you enjoyed your stay with us.

What a great stay we had here, staff couldnt do enough for you. Decent, clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Breakfast staff were particularly helpful! At great prices what a good deal this hotel is

Clean,comfortable and peaceful with security.A first class restaurant available with good food. Transfer to the airport with a helpful driver.What more to wish for?

I'd have rated it with full marks if a map of how to walk to the hotel had been provided on the web site.

Decent room, 30 minutes free WiFi is a tad mean but acceptable. Good food in the restaurant, decent breakfast which starts early enough to catch an early flight, easy check in and out.

We walked to the hotel, decided to risk the bus back. That was an error because it ran significantly late, thus caused pre-flight stress. Walking would have been more reassuring.

Please move the are for smokers away from the bus queue. It;s a small point, but would be useful for those who wish to smoke and for those who do not wish to breathe it

I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and would have rated us with full marks accept for the issue with directions.

As mentioned we do offer 30 minutes free wifi, you can however pay just £3 for 24 hours that is a great deal compared to other hotels around the airport.

Its great to hear you enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast in our thyme restaurant and found the opening times suitable for an early morning flight.

Gatwick is an extremely busy airport and there is a lot of refurbishment work taking place at the moment which can cause some delays, however I apologise that you were not pre warned about this.

Your comments regarding the smoking area have been taken on board, it is only through honest feedback such as yours that we can continue to improve at Gatwick Airport Central Premier Inn.

We hope to welcome you back again soon.

“They need more space”

Stayed for one night ( 24th Jan 2012. a group of 10 ....5 rooms ) we had a lot of luggage as we were off skiing and boarding, parked out side the reception and had to move our cars as the transfer bus wanted to get past !
After boooking in we decided to have a drink in the bar, how tiny that was with next to No seating as most of the area was taken up by the restaurant, Cramped to say the least,
I had the worst nights sleep for a very long time, the hotel was roasting when i mentioned it to reception in the morning they said the heating was on, i formed them that the air con wasn't working as ther was a nice card on the side showing all patrons how to use the system, i was inform it was switched off and you have to ask repection to switch it on, WHY
Hadn't nobody noticed how warm it was winter or No winter,
The Bus transfer to the terminal was awfull the driver was on a mission or he had to get to a fire ...what speed, wow.......i have a PCV and know how to drive buses, the bus also cannot hold much luggage especialy lots of skis and boards Never, Never again
