I enjoyed this hotel very much as I found the rooms to be spotless (2 weeks, 2 different rooms), comfortable and quiet. I only used the dining facilities for breakfast and I enjoyed everything on offer there. I think the planned refurb will be of great value although personally I didn't think the hotel was as bad as some folk have posted on earlier reviews. Friendly staff and speedy check in/ check out.

We arrived full of good expections for a great new year and gala dinner only to recieve the worst new year I've ever had!
The meal was poor
The entertainment was poor and embarrassing. Great if u like cheesy theme nights something out of benidorm but worse.
The service was shocking. Meals coming out sub standard and at different times not sure they had much staff training.
The wine was disgusting. Paint stripper comes to mind. To me there was no preperation for the event.
The dj was a non event. Clearing the dance floor just after midnight. Not a great way to see the new year in.
Rooms were outdated and dirty with mouldy bathrooms.l
Need a state any more how bad a new year we had. The list could go on!! Lessons to be learnt! Never stay there again!

Stayed here for just one night on a work trip.
The hotel was full but there were plenty of spaces in the car park. The reception/entrance area is smart, clean and modern. I found all the staff at all times to be friendly,smart and efficient.
The room was ok; clearly, its been a few years since it was re-furbed but it was clean with a comfortable bed and good facilities. The only disappointing point was the en-suite which was tired. It was one of the most worn out I have seen in recent years, with deep black mould on some of the tile grouting around the shower area. The appearance of the bathroom made me want to spend as little time in the shower as possible. However, overall the en-suite was clean and provided all facilities that you could reasonable expect of a bathroom.
The hot buffet breakfast the next morning was excellent; a really good comprehensive choice of hot foods on offer, in a nice restaurant setting.
I paid £79 for one night including the breakfast.
