Have Stayed here many times due to my work and have to say its one of the best travelodge i have stayed in . Ask for a room at the front the view might not to be great but as its south facing it gives it a bit extra warmth. Good Little cafe on the ground floor. As with all travlodges bathrooms are poor . but overall good for the price

I was booked into TL by my work so didnt have any choice - lets just say its made me very aware of what I am thought of if this is where a female lone traveller would be booked on own for a week!

I arrived at 10pm and really did not enjoy my walk from the multi storey and up a dark alley as there is no parking on site. From thereon in really I just did not feel safe unless I was in the room with door bolted. I am a country lass so could be me but I did not feel safe.

To be fair the rooms were what you would expect of a TL - clean and spacious with basics of what you need. Only one towel but I used the bath mat for my hair. No hair dryer in rooms.

I had breakfast in reception each morning which was average. Cooked to order and usually messed up with the man coming out repeatedly to remind himself what you wanted - maybe a notepad for him!

Staff were very willing although I got locked out after the first night and had repeated issues where they thought my booking had been changed and then could not sort it out (it had not).

Bar prices were very steep and bad wine selection - £5 per glass thought was steep.

Free wifi which appreciated.

I stayed here during the week for a number of weeks while working locally and always found the staff very friendly and helpful. Good value budget accomodation

Hopless staff! i booked a family room for 4 nights from Boxing day at this hotel, when we went back to the hotel for the second night, we walked into the room only to find this poor guy fast asleep on the bed and his little boy sleeping on a matress on the floor. Needless to say I got the shock of my life and little children, we have quietly shut the door and went downstairs to reception to explain. No apology was made, etc. This incident could have been a lot worse if the people in there were not sleeping or thought we were intruders! When i went down to reception, I asked about my belongings (clothes and electric toothbrushes that we left in the room) only to be told that we left nothing and that was that!!! after insisting that they must check with the cleaners etc, we were promised a call back and guess what??? we're still waiting...DREADFUL PLACE! Just spoke to the general manger and all she had to say was that her cleaners will never steal and basically implying that we never left anything in the room. how did she get to be a manager or work in hospitality if this is how she handles complaints at first instance??? I am just so pleased my family are safe after walking into another family at 11pm at night. Thanks Travelodge Swindon Central for ruining our xmas break!
