We stayed at this hotel to go to the air show in Fairford, got a taxi from the hotel to the bus station cost £8 and the bus which was £5 return to the airshow best way to go.
We found the staff very welcoming on our arrival and helpful throughout our stay.
the hotel is in a funny position right in the middle of a housing estate, you need a car if you want to get out and about ,although there is a bus stop right outside.
Don't be put of by the outside exterior, could do with some attention to make it more appealing from the outside.
I would definitely use this hotel again

A very nice stay.Excellent hotel and superb staff.Food was delicious.

Arrived and met the owners. They were fine., Entered the room. All ok. Everyone happy. Later....we decided to have an evening meal at the hotel. The rooms were very clean as was the hotel generally. Breakfast was 10/10. Choice and cooking all good. No problems there. On the downside....needs a little attention. The TV had only one channel most of the time. and more annoying was the shower. The handset needs replacing. There was no atmosphere when sitting around after a meal., and therefore unable to chat to any other guests. Evenings then became boring. We thought going out in the evening was then a better alternative.

OK... to be fair.... I'm terribly biased towards this place because I got such a good room rate, cadging their last empty room for the night, quite late at night and they let me have the same rate for a second night.... but even if it hadn't have been such a great bargain, I'd still have loved the beautiful big bedroom, the quietness of the location, the free WiFi, the good bar selection and the delightful company of the staff (and dog!). Not to mention... the cleanliness and the "everything you could want" for breakfast menu. OK.... so the coffee needs working on, but that's England for you!!!!

The location for me was perfect, as I had a car, (and a Tom Tom) but it wouldn't be so good for anyone relying on public transport, which is an important consideration for many travellers.
