Stanton House is the main hotel for visitors to Honda Swindon, no doubt that's why the restaurant is Japanese which I love. It’s a lovely building in a nice location.

However if you stay there for anytime don't expect to stay just in the hotel, it could really do with a gym or a Spa, that would make it far more appealing for non-business users. The restaurant is lack-lustre in appearance, actually quite a depressing room. One night a week is all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet, good value if you have paid for meals with your room, but very busy those nights.

Room was ok but the hotel was desperately too warm. Greeted by a CRT television with fairly poor reception, and the bathrooms could do with the re-sealing of silicone and new grout, play a boil wash for the shower curtains which have a mildew smell. But, they are smaller points the maid did a very good job of cleaning every day.

I wish they would not use the 100's of pointless halogen lamps in the corridor in front the doors, utter waste of energy.

Would I stay here again? Probably have a better look at other locations before deciding to go back.

I normally stay in the cheaper travelodge type hotels, so imagine my surprise when I arrived.
the staff were freindly and helpful, the food although a bit on the pricey side was good .
the only downside was the decor in the room seemed a bit dated but the huge bathroom made up for it

We held our wedding at Stanton House Hotel recently and I cannot say enough good things. The venue was beautiful, the food amazing, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The bridal suite was perfect and the day went so smoothly, thanks in main to the wonderful hotel staff.

A blast from the past, this hotel needs a huge overhaul in both services, facilities and cuisine. The staff are generally helpful and friendly if a little hapless at times. The rooms remind me of the decrepit nursing homes exposed on Watchdog; I anticipated the beatings but these were not forthcoming. Avoid the mussels; and all other foodstuffs. The sole entertainment is provided by the restaurant; a genuinely nice chap who will remind you of John Inman, only camper. Cheap but not cheerful.
