All areas smell of smoke, the door didn't lock, the air con didn't work, the bathroom lights didn't work, this was enough to make me check out early.

We needed somewhere to stay in Swindon for a family party. We picked this because of its price and also it's location. I had stayed there before - it was ok but on the whole quite unremarkable.
Well I am now seriously impressed! We were checked in very efficiently - I had to change one of the rooms and this was done without a quibble. Our rooms were warm and quiet. The shower was excellent - always a niggle of mine.
Breakfast (only £5 per person if booked in advance) was also very good - f they even had porridge.
What really made our stay was the staff - they ALL made us feel special.

A highly recommendable Hotel with excellent staff and good facilities.
We visted on a Saturday and Sunday night; the hotel was fairly quite and was a pleasant place to stay - just out of town.
In places the Hotel is 'well worn' but putting that aside everything else was good.
We had a family room (recommend) which gave us more space & an extra bed if needed.
Will stay again.

We have just returned from staying at this Holiday Inn on return from a family visit and felt the need to comment on what we had experienced.
We found it impossible to fault this hotel, everything about it was excellent, from the greeting on arrival, to the room décor, but most of all the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff we came across.
All the staff seemed extremely happy in their jobs and rather than the somewhat ‘false’ attitude you can receive in other establishments this was not the case in this particular Holiday Inn. They were all extremely courteous, friendly and professional. I strongly recommend this hotel to other travellers for its location (very close to the M4), standard of the rooms and the great staff. We were also very lucky to have stayed here on one of the Holiday Inn Special Rates – real value for money!
