My first impresssion of the proprietor and the guest house was extremely favourable, helpful proprietor, rooms very clean, breakfast very tasty. However, sadly we discovered that we had unfortunately spilt a drop of wine on a chair and cushion which left a stain. Clearly this was not intentionally and we were very apologetic. We have offered to pay the excess in any accidental damage insurance claim, but it would appear that the proprietor seems intent on pursuing us for the total costs? This leaves me very confused at to the alleged high customer standards that Thornhill boasts. My advice would be to just be very careful not to cause any accidental damage.
