we stayed here on business, found it was ok, and booked as we left for our next stay the following year, we were then told by email 6 weeks before our next stay that they had sold the rooms to a large group and we had lost our rooms. I found this totally unproffesional and it left us scrambling round to find another B&B with very short notice at a busy time. be careful when you book!!

I was in Yorkshire for a family wedding, my brother, his wife and I all stayed at Cold Cotes.
We stayed for 2 nights, I had a smaller downstairs room, my brother and wife the bigger upstairs room.

It was cold outside but lovely cosy and warm inside, every part of the room was clean and welcoming, like a home from home.

The hospitality was second to none and we had an amazing breakfast every morning, I would jump at chance to stay here again.

We have just returned from a week in Yorkshire and spent the majority of the stay at Cold Cotes. All the other reviews are true, it is a lovely place to stay. We had room 6 which was very spacious and comfortable. You have everything you need and expect in a b&b and more - a hot water bottle, fan, ironing board, iron and fridge along side tea and coffee making facilities, fresh fruit, decent sized tv and comfortable seating area. The bed was huge and firm and the bathroom had everything you need. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, Ed does a great job.

We will definitely go back and I will be recommending Cold Cotes to family and friends.

We have stayed at Cold Cotes on numerous occasions and each time it gets better. We always stay in room 3, a suite that is excellent value for money. Breakfasts are wonderful and the hospitality is second to none. We were met last weekend by Joanne who came out to the car with an umbrella in the rain, she then fed us with afternoon tea - her cakes are wonderful. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing break in wonderful surroundings.
