The hotel is very well situated for Harrogate centre and outwardly is very well presented. Internally however, the decor has become slightly worn and dated with much of the furniture having seen better days. The wall paper in the family room was peeling off the walls and the floors creaked excessively. Apart from this, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Our main praise is reserved for the quality of the breakfast, which although was served a little early and for only a short period of time was freshly prepared and very nice. The waitress who served it however was extremely rude and clearly didnt want to be there. The hotel operates a system of self serve where guests are given keys to the main front door and are basically left to it which was great for our circumstances as we mainly like to be left to our own resources but when the only contact with staff you have is with a waitress at breakfast, they really should have invested in some customer service training for her, a smile wouldnt have gone a miss.

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to our sons passing in parade at Harrogate AFC. We got a great price on a last minute deal through one of those hotel website . We had one of the large rooms on the top floor. Room was clean and had everything you would want. No SKY tv but that was fine. It is only a short walk into the town centre. We arrived late after a nightmare journey up the A1 and the person on reception duty was great asking if we needed anything to eat. The breakfast was excellent. Great home made cereals and a superb full english. It was best full english I have ever had at a hotel.

Would I stay here again? Yes if I could get another deal. As mentioned in previous reviews the hotel is a bit dated but it is a lovely Victorian house with some real nice furniture .

stayed for 1 night the room was large but in need of redecoration with large damp patches on the walls. breakfast was good but the 1 person serving needed a bit of prompting for coffee toast etc. good location for town center

We stayed five nights in Room 5 at the top of the house.The room was very spacious as was the en suite bathroom.But the decor was old fashioned and jaded although to be fair it was kept clean.The breakfast was the usual fare, OK but nothing special.The generous room size, the location and parking are the best things going for this place at the moment .
