We've just returned from our stay at the Sherwood Hotel (3 nights) and would definitely choose to stay here again. Sue and Austin couldn't have been more helpful, accommodating and pleasant if they tried. From the moment we arrived - early! - to the moment we checked out nothing was a bother to them. Our room was immaculate (en suite) with plentiful tea and coffee facilities. Clean towels every day too! The hotel was fully booked over the weekend but this didn't slow down or detract from the level of service that we received at breakfast or regarding our room cleanliness. Full English breakfast was superb.

The communal rooms are tastefully decorated and like our room VERY CLEAN. The hotel has a feeling of home and is just 5 minutes easy walk from Harrogate's buzzing town centre, but you'd never know it as Studley Road is so quiet and peaceful - a very nice mix. We were given parking permits and it was great to be able to see the car from our room. This is definitely our kind of hospitality and service. Thanks for your care and attention to every detail.

As soon as we checked in we knew we'd picked the right place; Sue and Austin were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Austin gave us parking discs and helped us with our bags, and Sue explained what time breakfast was and was very accommodating when I said I was on a special diet. Our room was lovely with a huge comfy bed and spotless en-suite, and we were pleasantly surprised to have fresh towels on our second morning, which you don't always get. Only a short walk from the town centre but on such a quiet street that you could easily forget you were staying in a town!! The only down side was having to check out; would definitely recommend!

i really enjoyed staying at sherwood hotel from the moment we arrived to the last min we left Sue and Austin were incredible they couldnt help us enough in which resturtants pubs and nice walking routes, they helped us with our bags to our rooms and we didnt need to worry about our cars during the day as Sue gave us permits every day, as it was a business trip we needed to be up early for breakfast there was no problem with this. the breakfast was truly out off this world i really enjoy my full english breakfast with two eggs and 3 rashes off bacon and the rest,it sets you up for a busy day. the rooms were all fashionable and comfortable enough room to relax and be able to watch t.v, the bed was large and soft clean towels every day, the rest off the hotel was really well cleaned and looked after all in all i think i must give them 10/10 everythink was spot on. really enjoyed staying and will be coming back again for a nice weekend away with family.
