I stayed in the hotel as one of a group working in Harrogate for a month. A nice building in a good location a short walk from the town centre, the rooms are well kept and a good size. The food is decent and the breakfast excellent. What really stood out was the staff who were without exception friendly, helpful and accommodating. Although they were all excellent, special mention has to go Tamas Szatina (Tomi), who looked after us really well and with great humour and patience.
All in all a very happy stay.

I have been stay here for 3weeks now and have found the staff extremly helpful especially Tomi he's there every meal time and is ever so helpful never hesitates to help or get what is req. The whole hotel is extremly clean and the food is top quality couldn't fault it in any way.

Our room was a good size but so cold!!
There is a sensor in the room so the heater starts only when there is someone in the room.
We've had to ask for an extra heater.
We heard other people complaining at the reception...

When we check out, they told us that there was an extra pound added to our bill to sponsor the Director of the hotel - he will be running London Marathon.
We didn't like that the pound was added without asking.
They tell you that they can remove it from the bill if you don't want to participate. But come on! They should ask then add and not add then ask...

We have just enjoyed our 4th New Year Dinner Dance. That we have booked 4 times speaks for itself. This is a most accommodating and friendly hotel. The dinner is excellent and the 'black-tie' dress code gives the event a special feel. Last year we made a 'tongue-in-cheek' request for the decor to be purple this year. The Manager Simon Cotton made a mental note and, low and behold, there it was!
We are already looking forward to Dec 31st 2012.
