The Bull hotel has a good hotel and other reviews have given clear adequately explained the various amenities; my perspective on the service was mixed - mainly because check in was rather cold and un-effecient (the usual; answer a phone, ignore a human being right in front of you...). Outside of check in the service was great in other areas; great bar staff, great staff at breakfast, etc.
Rooms are standard fashioned - neither out of date or ultra modern and seemed very clean; the bed was very comfortable and I slept well and the free wi-fi and parking is a boon. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The Bull Hotel is ideally located in the city centre of Peterborough, within walking distance from the cathedral, restaurants, drinks, and stores. Parking is free, but only accessed from the east. (Entry at corner of Broadway & Fitzwillam) Rooms are nicely appointed, generally clean (carpet could have vaccuumed at bit better) with the en-suite bathroom at a very high standard. The mattress in my room was my greatest disappointment, as it was so hard that I began to have back discomfort during my stay. A co-worker reported that his was soft (like sleeping on a couch), so your experience may vary. I would recommend the bed & breakfast option if you want a full buffet meal at a discounted rate. A good experience overall, and would have been rated excellent after a better nights sleep.

Recently returned and again very enjoyable,good central location,service and friendly staff,room this time bit noisy because of on street location,went on good value deal so good vfm,bit disappointing gold voucher package means restricted to set menu,if you want a la carte have to pay Full additional price rather than offsetting value of table d`hote against it which makes dining not as good as it could be

Have stayed at the Bull several times and it's alway been consistantly really nice. Great location right in the centre of the city (not easy to find by car -- postcode takes you to wrong place on satnav - so check directions before hand) Reception staff are really friendly and helpful.. Bar staff are really good. There are lots of ggod restaurants and bars within a short walk. If you like Chinese try the Imperial Bento almost next door.. Room was high standard for a city centre traditional hotel.. very nice bathroom and bed was exceptioanlly comfortable. Breakfast buffet is as good as a breakfast buffet gets except it was not hot enough.. Personal preference but I prefer a hot breakfast cooked to order rather than from a buffet... I just find a buffet is never hot by the time you get it to your table.. Having said that the quality of food was excellent.. Overall a really nice stay..Peterborough is a nice night out... we will be back again soon... Glynne & Ann
