“Fab Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Stayed here for a weekend to as was going to see HOI at Exec, location was fab, 5 min walk to the venue. Hotel staff were fab, nothing was to much trouble for them, Very clean room which had everything you would need for a stay, only down fall i would say was breakfast, the warm stuff was cold and the sausages were horrible, plenty of cereal, fruit and yoghurt, toast which was fab. Good bar.
One point, The harvester was full for every time we went, can't book tables and wait was terrible, staff very slow.
Defo be staying here again & i will recommend

Thank you for your recent review.
The staff are always happy when our customer sevice is noticed.
I do hope that the experience at the resturant next to the hotel will not put you off in the future but there are many good quality resturants in this area.
The Breakfast is a main area of focus for us and we have now changed the sausages that we buy.
once again thank you for your review and i hope to welcome you back to the Holiday Inn Express Peterborough in the future.

“Good stay - but strange welcome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

On arrival we were suprised to find 2 decidedly scruffy staff on reception. The man had his shirt unbuttoned almost to his navel, and the lady seemed unable too smile, but luckily went to get another staff member who was pleasant and efficient. Strangest welcome yet at a Holiday Inn.
Our room was 204, overlooking the same flat roof as a previous reviewer. The noise from the water softeners was bad, and we changed rooms the next night. The staff member who arranged this was very helpful, but I do wonder why they use these 2 noisy rooms when the hotel is very underoccupied.
Dinner was OK at the Harvester, although there were long queues on the Saturday night. The Cuckoo in Alwalton village was about 15 minutes walk, - looked good in the day but not appealing in the rain and dark.
Breakfast was good. Food was hot and well-cooked. On our second morning there was a coach party, but there was still plenty of room and the staff kept everything topped up very efficiently.
On balance a very good stay, apart from the niggles mentioned above. Bearing in mind we had booked this on a 2012 special offer it was excellent value.

Room Tip: Make sure you don't overlook the flat roof.

Thank you for your recent review of the Hotel.
I am sorry that you felt that we did not come up to the standard that you expect to find when visiting a Holiday Inn Express. I have personally spoken to the staff that were on duty when you checked in to ensure that other guests do not have a negative experience. I am pleased that apart from the noise in the room that you did manage to enjoy the rest of your stay. The queues in the Harvester can get long when they are busy, i will pass on your comments to the manager as the resturant is a seperate business to the hotel.
I do hope this experience has not put you off visiting us again and that we will be able to welcome you back to the Holiday Inn Express in the future

“Lovely hotel with a lovely member of staff”

This is a lovely hotel.the gentleman on reception was very helpful especially when we found out that the harvester next door to the hotel was closed.the rooms was clean & comfortable.
Breakfast was standard for a holiday inn express a big plus was that due to there being no restaurant that you could phone a take away have it delivered & eat it in the bar.

“Excellent Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We always stay here for a couple of nights on our way to visit family in London. The position close to the A1 is perfect and only 80 miles to London. The hotel is clean and very comfortable and the reception staff are very pleasant and helpful. We always manage to go walking in the nearby Nene Valley Country Park and our little dog( who always comes with us for no charge in the hotel) loves the area. The breakfast is quite adequate with a choice of Continental or cooked. The whole package represents excellent value for money.

Thank you for your recent review.

I am glad to see that we met all of your expectations and that you found the hotel excellent value. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Peterborough and our close position to the A1M motorway makes us the ideal hotel for a stop over when a long journey needs to be split. We do hope that the Holiday Inn Express Peterborough will be your choice for a rest full stop over when you visit London in the future.

“Comfortable,roomy and accessible.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

The Holiday Inn Express was comfortable and roomy enough and with a room backing onto the car park we were able to open our window at night to get some fresh air - which was good. The hallway outside the room was quite stuffy as the Hotel was not airconditioned. I would imagine that rooms would be pretty stuffy during a heatwave.Breakfast was OK and the staff were helpful when necessary.
Would be happy enough to stay again.
