“Perfect Getaway Location”

If you like peace and quiet and a feeling of being away from the bustle of town, this is the place for you. It is a modern b&b with great beds, powerful showers, and great hosts. We stayed for three nights and found the location perfect for connection to the DART train to Dublin as well as a short drive to a nearby town on Friday to check out the pubs. We also visited Powerscourt and Glendalough which are all within a half-hour drive. This is a wonderful place to relax or use as a central location for touring the area.

“Fantastic, can't be beaten.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011 via mobile

Although we are well travelled, you couldn't beat the warmth, friendliness, helpful advice and hospitality from Marilyn at Wicklow Way Lodge.

The grounds, the building and the rooms were exceptional (large and spotless). The breakfasts were to die for.

The view from the room was one of the best we have experienced.

Thanks to Marilyn for a wonderful experience.

Linda and Darryl

“Best Lodging on our ten day stay in Ireland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

If you ar touring Wicklow County, or hiking the Wicklow Way, or just want to get out of Dublin for a relaxing overnight in the country, the Wicklow Way Lodge is just the ticket. It is a place where I would gladly have kicked off my hiking shoes and extended our stay. After a long hard slog on the Wicklow Way, no Inn could have looked more welcoming, no shower more inviting, and no bed more comfortable. Marilyn and Seamus were wonderful, providing a warm welcome, area information, and transportation (after aforementioned shower and nap) into Roundwood for a nice pub dinner. Breakfast was the best we experienced on our 10 day visit to Ireland. Don’t miss the porridge and home made fresh breads. The rooms are large, comfortable, and well appointed. Opt for a terrace room if it is available, and linger on the terrace over another cuppa, especially if you are facing another day of ascending and descending the beautiful trails of the Wicklow Way.

“Fantastic Place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

Walked some of the Wicklow Way from Dublin to Glengalough in August. We stayed in The Wicklow Way Lodge on our second night. It was perfect and we would recommend it to anyone on the walk or just as a place to stay surrounded by our fantastic countryside.
We were met with a glass of well earned water and shown to our room. The room was a double ensuite with a balcony. Everything was spotless and fresh.
The land lady Marilyn drove us to Roundwood for food later on and arranged for her husband to pick us up in a few hours.
The atmosphere was relxed but very friendly. A great place run by lovely people.

““hidden gem””
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

We started our Mid-July 10 day Irish vacation at the Wicklow way lodge. Truly a wonderful start to a great vacation. The innkeepers were fantastic, they suggested a great hike to show us some truly beautiful country. Marilyn suggested the Wicklow heather for supper and it was superb. Of course you have to have the porridge for breakfast. The inn is modern, clean, comfortable, and has a wonderful view of the surrounding country side. It’s off most tourists radar, so the inn is truly the Wicklow Mountain’s “hidden gem”. I look forward to staying at the lodge a few days longer the next time I visit Ireland.
