I stayed here a few years ago when the Hotel first opened and I have to say it was not a great experience, so much so I vowed to myself not to darken the front door of this hotel again.

However many years have passed & I was a guest at a wedding reception recently & as the saying goes time is a great healer well what an understatement for the Stanville team, the Meal service staff where excellent!

The owners must have realised how poor the food and service was back in the early days of this Hotel because they have turned this place right around..

There is definitely a Head Chef with culinary expertise at work here as after the scumptuous meal at the wedding we (my partner & I )decided to stay on for a night & we where not disappointed from the great choice of seafood to the daily black board specials this place is a must for lovers of fresh local food.I really hope to be back soon & that the Chef is still here creating dishes that have real flavour at a price thats so affordable.(seafood chowder a must!!)

the room we stayed is was comfortable & clean with all the mod cons you would expect of a high quality 3 star.

we have just come back from 3 night at this hotel to attend our friends wedding there.
The hotel is spotless, great value for money, friendly staff, great value for money bar food which was tasty, can highly recommend the Sunday carvery.
Our friends had a great day, and the guests were so well looked after.

we stayed here in August while visiting friends, the rooms are spacious and very clean. Bar food is beautiful and really good value. Will definately be back again
