Overall Rooms ok but atmosphere a bit rough. Reception needs manners.
A group of us stayed here for a hen night. 3 of us first arrived first and the girl on reception was "busy" discussing something with another staff member (maybe Management) and didnt acknowledge us until she was finshed her conversation. After an awkward few mins of waiting she looked at us, no hello or may I help you, nothing.
When everyone arrived we made our way to the room. All the lifts have signs staying "All floors" but all lifts dont go to all floors. We were on floor 4 but the lift only went to 3 so we had to get out and wonder what was going on, going around and about and over and back and after a 3 day camel ride around the hotel we found our room. The hotel was obviously extended by adding more buildings, some 3 stories high, some 4 and some 5 stories high so its would be impossible for all lifts to go to all floors. The layout is just shocking. We were all worried that we wouldnt be able to find our way back to reception again or after being out find the room again. We had a suite and getting to it was some treck even when you know where your going. If you are unlucky enough to be staying here ask for a room close to the reception or lift.
I decided id skip breakfast as I expected a trip to Centra down the road would be safer.
The rooms were ok. Thats as good as it gets.
We had a meal in the hotel. I wouldnt be returning here either. Food was edible..ish. We were missing glasses and one person never got a dessert that was ordered.
When getting our taxi back to the hotel the taxi driver told us that it wasnt a good stop and usually has plenty trouble and always had the paddy wagon outside. I wasnt suprised.
Id prefer the Travelodge than here and we all know the travelodge is really basic but at least you know what your getting. I dont know what they could do with this place as sorting the lifts would cost a lot and the hotel really isnt worth it.
Room Tip: Ask for one close to reception to avoid walking for miles. No need to visit the gym after a trip to...

Dear Nicky,
Thank you for your recent stay with us and for the taking the time out to review our hotel. It is only with such feedback that we can improve the quality and service in our hotel. I'm happy to hear that you liked your room. I'm disappointed that reception staff did not acknowledge you on arrival. I can assure you that this is not standard practice and this has been taken very serious by management.
I understand that it took you some time to find your room. Since your review we have introduced a Guest Liaison Officer who will help all our guests find their way around our hotel and will be on hand with all information that you may need.
I'm disappointed that you did not even try breakfast at our hotel. All other members of your Hen Party had been delighted with their breakfast brought to their room. They didn't leave much. To me that seems that they definitely enjoyed their breakfast. It is very rare that we get bad reviews about our food.
I would like to point out that it is 100% NOT TRUE that a "Paddy wagon is always outside" our hotel. Since your review I have been trying to locate this taxi driver but have not be able to. I would be very grateful if you could pass his details on to me. This fabricated statement can be very damaging to our hotel and this needs to be addressed.
It is very disappointing to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. It was easy to spot this after your departure that you did not respect our hotel from the condition your room was left in.
Once again thank you for taking the time to review our hotel.
Kind Regards,
Shóna McGailey
